Complex industrial projects rarely fail because of the technology — they fail because of coordination, communication and the hundreds of decisions that need to be made throughout a pressured project lifecycle. Rungstrom Site Management are specialists in managing projects where many things must come together at once: international vendors, parallel installation streams, stringent documentation requirements and clients with zero tolerance for delays.
We work as technically accountable project managers — not as administrators of a Gantt chart. That means we understand the technology, can speak to vendors’ engineers as equals, identify technical risks early, and make decisions based on professional judgement rather than process rules. That is the difference that determines whether a project is delivered on time or not.
We have experience from projects for major Scandinavian and international OEMs in automotive and pharma, with simultaneous deliveries to up to five countries, full GMP/GDP compliance in pharma, and budget and schedule responsibility for projects with many vendors and stakeholders. Technical specification & tender advisory
The foundation of any successful project is a precise and realistic technical requirement specification. We produce URS, technical specifications and tender documentation that are detailed enough to ensure comparable bids — and well-defined enough for the contract to protect the client. We advise on vendor selection based on direct experience with the relevant manufacturers and systematic technical and commercial evaluation of bids.
Vendor management & project control
We follow projects closely from contract to delivery: progress meetings, design reviews, status reporting, FMEA, risk assessments and ongoing budget control. We ensure vendors meet agreed milestones, that changes are documented and priced correctly, and that there is always a clear overview of project status for all parties — including the client.
FAT/SAT & commissioning
Factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests are the critical checkpoints in any delivery project. We plan and execute FAT and SAT with structured test protocols, document all results and ensure that identified deviations are closed correctly and on time. We support commissioning through to stable production and deliver the documentation package the client needs for future operations and regulatory approval.
Pharma & GMP installations
Pharmaceutical and biotech projects impose specific requirements for documentation, traceability and validation. We have experience with GMP/GDP-certified installations and IQ/OQ/PQ processes from projects in Ireland, India, the USA, Belgium and the Netherlands — including ultra-low temperature freezer systems for critical pharmaceutical products. We know the requirements for change control, deviation management and audit trail — and we deliver documentation that holds up under inspection.

Project initiation & requirements clarification
We begin with a thorough review of the project’s scope, requirements, boundary conditions and stakeholders. We establish the project structure, clarify roles and responsibilities, and ensure all parties share a common understanding of what the project must deliver — and when.
Planning & tender
We produce a realistic master schedule, identify the critical path and establish the milestones that must be met. In parallel we run the tender process — technical specification, bid collection, evaluation and vendor selection — with the transparency and rigour that underpins a sound contract.
Design phase & vendor follow-up
During the design phase we are close to the vendors: design reviews, progress meetings, document reviews and technical follow-up. We ensure that the technical solution is consistent with the requirement specification, that interfaces are coordinated, and that the overall risk exposure is kept under control.
FAT, installation & SAT
We lead the factory acceptance test, coordinate transport and on-site installation, and carry out the site acceptance test with full documentation. We maintain a tight logistics and schedule during the installation period — and we resolve the problems that always arise on site, quickly and pragmatically.
Commissioning & handover
We support commissioning through to stable production, close open items and ensure the client receives a complete documentation package. We carry out a structured handover that gives the operating organisation the best possible starting point — and we remain available if questions arise afterwards.

Our project management is technically grounded — not process-driven. That means we can make real technical decisions along the way, understand the consequences of changes proposed by vendors, and keep the project on track even when it gets complicated.

About Rungstrom Site Management
Rungstrom Site Management handles project management on complex industrial plant projects — typically in collaboration with the other divisions of Rungstrom Engineering Solutions. We can serve as the technically accountable project manager on projects ranging from a few months to multi-year multi-site programmes.
We are based in Denmark and available internationally. We have worked in the USA, Germany, Slovakia, China, Sweden, Ireland, India, Belgium and the Netherlands — and we are experienced at operating in international project environments where time zones and cultural differences are part of daily working life.
